Platform for online voting in a general election

I have developed this platform to handle an online voting for a general election.

You can register as a voter by providing your name, mobile number, postal code and constituency.

You will receive a SMS to view the media about the candidates in your constituency.

When polling starts, you will receive a SMS to allow you to vote online. The SMS contain a unique code that identify the voter. You have to enter your postal code for verification.

As the SMS is received by the holder of the mobile phone and the voter has to enter the postal code for verification, it provides sufficient safeguard to protect against voting fraud.

There is also an additional level of security. All votes are stored in three databases - at the election department, the auditor firm and the court. The result from the election department is verified with the auditor firm. In the event of difference, e.g. due to tampering, the result from the court is retrieved for further verification. It is not likely that the hacker can tamper with the three databases under separate control.

After the voter submits a vote, a SMS can be sent from the election department database to inform the voter about the vote that he has submitted. This allows the voter to raise a report if the vote is different from the vote that he has cast.
